DOMESTIC FEE PROGRAMS
In both of the Fee
Programs, adoptive parents residing outside of Florida
are responsible for contracting with an agency in their
state of residence to complete the home study and
monthly post-placement supervision visits with the
child.
If the adoptive parents are
residents of
Florida,
their adoption will be finalized in
Florida.
If the adoptive parents
reside outside the state of Florida, the family may
finalize in their home state at their own expense or may
choose to finalize the adoption in Florida.
If an out of state family
chooses to finalize in Florida, there will be no
additional cost except their personal travel expenses.
TRADITIONAL FLAT
FEE
With the traditional flat
fee, the one time selection fee of $17,500 is
due at the time adoptive parents are notified of
their selection. Under the traditional flat fee,
if the adoptive placement does not occur, the
adoptive parents will not be required to pay
another selection fee when matched with another
birth mother.

CONTEMPORARY FEE
With the contemporary fee, the one time
selection fee of $7,500 is due at the time
the adoptive parents are notified of their
selection. Under the contemporary fee, the
adoptive parents are responsible for the
birth mother's reasonable and necessary
living and/or medical expenses. If the
adoptive placement does not occur, these
expenses are non-refundable; however, the
adoptive parents will not be required to pay
another selection fee when matched with
another birth mother.
