Deferred Application Program
If you are an Adoptive Parent who is already homestudy approved is open to taking placement of a baby who is:
- affected by chronic drug or alcohol use by the birth parent
- has a birth parent who has mental health challenges
- has a birth parent who received no or limited pre-natal care; and/or
- a baby of any race
you may qualify to be part of Gift of Life Adoption’s Deferred Application Program. The Deferred Application Program provides an incentive to Adoptive Parents who have more open comfort levels to defer the application fee until they are matched with a birth parent.
For a one-time fee of $500, Gift of Life Adoptions will show your Adoptive Parent Profile to birth parents who present with matching challenges based on your comfort levels and budget. At the time that an Adoptive Parent enters into the Deferred Application Program they will provide Gift of Life Adoptions with the following:
- An Original Homestudy
- Five Profiles
- Signed Gift of Life Adoptions Agreement
- Release of Information for Homestudy Agency (if out of State)
- Signed Adoption Disclosure
- Signed At-Risk Agreement
