Independent Home Studies

Gift of Life Adoptions will provide Independent home study services for prospective adoptive parents receiving placement through Florida attorneys or agencies outside of Florida.

The fees for an Independent Home Study include the home visit, background checks, post placement visits and the reports to the court. The fees for Independent Home Study Services are as follows:

• Within a six county radius (Florida Counties: Pinellas, Hillsborough, Manatee, Polk, Pasco and Sarasota) $1,300
• Outside the six county radius $1,500
• Expedited Home Study Fee (If the birth mother is due within two weeks of receipt of the Independent Home Study Application.) $250
• Counseling (by Master's Level Therapist), per case hour ($100 / hour travel time)
